On July 4th, 2024, we launched a custom GPT, which replaces the old Stock Card. We have been training the model to become an even better stock market research tool than the old Stock Cards. We call it Charlie!

You can use Charlie to research any company, private or publicly traded. Charlie can be your fact-based and logical investment research assistant.

While we work on integrating the custom GPT into the website, you can start using it for free by clicking on the button below and going to OpenAI's website.

What is a Custom GPT?

A custom GPT is a Generative Pre-trained Transformer offered by OpenAI. Anyone can provide a set of rules to conduct research or gather and analyze information in a specific way for GPTs and create a customized AI-enabled tool. This customization allows using AI models for particular purposes, such as researching stocks or gathering information about a specific topic.

We used this functionality offered by OpenAI to create a custom GPT that follows Stock Card's methodology. To read more about customer GPTs, please visit OpenAI's website: Read Here

How to Use Charlie To Research Companies?

To use Charlie, you'll need to create a free OpenAI account. We will integrate Charlie into our website in the future. However, to research stocks, you must visit OpenAI's website.

Once you have created a free OpenAI account, visit Charile's page: https://bit.ly/gptCharlie,

Ask Charlie, "Should I invest in <ticker>?" or similar questions such as "Is company C a good investment?" and so on. Charlie will respond with well-structured research and a summary of information found on the internet from reliable sources such as Yahoo Finance, Bloomberg, etc.

If you do not understand a section or doubt the accuracy or recency of information, ask Charlie to clarify using questions such as "Charlie, can you walk me through the steps you took to calculate X?" or similar qualifying questions. The more you dig deeper, the more Charlie learns.

What Are the Risks of Using Charlie In Doing Research?

Charlie is still in beta and is learning to become your investment research assistant. It can make hypothetical assumptions about a company or gather information that is not as recent as it should be. Always verify the accuracy of information when you are using Charlie.

We've trained Charlie to follow the rules and steps to ensure data accuracy and recency. We've also requested Charlie always to share its sources to gather information. You should always verify those sources. Also, always ask Charlie whether the data it uses is the most recent information.

[IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER] As always, do not invest solely based on what Charlie presents to you. You should do your independent research or consult a professional before investing. Investing has risk, and no one, not even an AI-enabled tool, can guarantee investment results.

How Does Charlie Compare To Stock Card's Visualizations?

Charlie follows the Stock Card's structure, which you have come to love and use to research every company.

For example, when you ask Charlie to research a company, it will provide information about growth Potential, Financial Strength, Market Sentiment, etc. But Charlie is much faster and better. We could easily add new sections, such as Insider Trading and Coutner Argument, to how Charlie provides information. Based on how easy it is to grow and train the models, Charlie is a much better version of Stock Card.

We believe AI-enabled investment research tools are far superior to existing tools, even though they are still in development and can make mistakes.

What Happened to the Screeners?

In this new model, we do not offer a stock or ETF screener. We are moving away from traditional methods. Stock and ETF screeners on Stock Card used the same data behind the visualization to search through the stock market universe. By removing the visualizations, the screeners won't work anymore.

What Happens To Stock Card VIP Subscription?

Only VIP users will have access once Charlie is out of the beta phase and fully integrates into this website. This integration will take a few months. We will notify all VIP users once the integration is completed.

In the meantime, VIP users can still access My Portfolio to track their ideas and compare their investment returns with the S&P 500. They can also continue to access the Portfolio store and all VIP portfolios to get new investment ideas.

Additionally, VIP users will receive an invitation to access our founder's premium Investment Memos. This new premium investment research newsletter goes hand in hand with the Roll With Our CEO portfolio and provides a detailed analysis of stocks she buys or holds in her real-money portfolio: https://hodamehr.substack.com/

To help you continue to learn and make better investment decisions, we will invite you to VIP-only office hours and investment research sessions with our founder.

We hope you stay a VIP user and participate in creating our new generation of AI-powered platforms. As always, you can manage your subscription on your account management page.
